BARTS: From beach shorts to a successful winter accessories brand.
 
In 1992 Bart Koene launched the brand Barts in the Netherlands, starting with a summer collection of colored bandanas. He created a way to present his collection using the famous clay Barts heads which were handmade by his wife Kelly. The first collection was a success which then led to a winter collection of 3 different fleece hats!
 
This of course is very different from the extensive Barts collection today. Barts is now a world leader and best seller of quality, stylish and practical headwear.
 
Each style was designed in Amsterdam with passion and care, using the highest quality materials. Every year, the collection grew to be bigger, better and more beautiful. During these times scarves, a children’s range, technical gloves, and bags were added to the collection.
